Cadbury Castle, Somerset Cadbury Castle is a large Bronze Age and Iron Age hillfort by South Cadbury in Somerset, crowning Cadbury Hill. The fort has frequently been associated with King Arthur's supposed court at "Camelot", especially since the eighteenth century antiquarian William Stukely insisted that it could be called 'Camalet'. In the eighteen acres within the earthen ramparts, archaeology has found occupation and use from the Neolithic through to the Bronze Age and the Iron Age, and reuse by the Romans before it became a Saxon town.
