River Medway

The River Medway is a river seventy miles long in Kent, flowing through the heart of the county and some of its famous towns and creating a broad mouth into the Thames Estuary which has served the Royal Navy and industry for centuries.

The river has a drainage basin of 930 square miles, embracing most of the county, and on its course are such towns as Tonbridge, Maidenhead, Chatham and Rochester. (Read more)
