Kinsale

Kinsale is a historic port and fishing town in County Cork which also has significant military history. The town stands on the coast near the Old Head of Kinsale, at the mouth of the River Bandon. Its population of around five thousand swells substantially during the summer months with tourists and the boating fraternity.

This is a popular holiday resort, drawing visitors for yachting, sea fishing, and golf, or just for wandering it the town's narrow streets. The town is known for its restaurants, and holds an annual "Gourmet Festival". (Read more)
