The Dorback Burn and Geal Charn

The Dorback Burn is a right-bank tributary of the River Nethy in a detached part of Morayshire in Inverness-shire.

The river rises in in burns flowing from the slopes of Geal Charn (2,649 feet) and the lesser mountains around it, and flows generally north-westwards down through the Braes of Abernethy. Passing to the east of the Abernethy Forest, it enters the River Nethy. The combined waters flow down to the River Spey at Abernethy.
