ClunClun is a tiny town in southern Shropshire, alone within the Clun Forest and within the 'Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. It is a place of some six hundred souls and the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England has reckoned Clun as one of the most tranquil locations in England. The town takes its name from the river upon which it stands, which is of ancient origin. Clun was on the historic drove road where flocks and herds were driven from the Cambrian Mountains to the markets in the Midlands and London.
