Mold

Mold is a town in Flintshire, on the River Alyn, which was once a mining town.

The town's name is Norman-French; mont hault meaning "high hill", though he Welsh language name Yr Wyddgrug means "The Tomb Mound", and from such a mound, Bryn yr Ellyllon, 'Goblins' Hill' came Mold's unique treasure: the Mold Cape - a cape wrought all of gold in the Bronze Age. (Read more)
