Clontarf

Clontarf is a village of County Dublin, famous for a moment in history, which has become in the course of the ages an affluent seaside suburb of the City of Dublin, on the north shore of Dublin Bay, east of the city centre.

The name of Clontarf is best known for the Battle of Clontarf fought in 1014, in which King Brian Boru defeated the Norse of the Kingdom of Dublin and ended the Viking wars. (Read more)
