Avonmouth

Avonmouth is a major port in Gloucestershire and an outlying suburb of Bristol. It stands on the Severn Estuary, at the mouth of the River Avon at the westernmost part of Gloucestershire. Bristol is upriver to the east. On the opposite site of the Avon, on the Somerset side, is Portishead. The M5 motorway crosses over the Avon on a long viaduct here. (Read more)
