Letterkenny

Letterkenny is the largest and most populous town in County Donegal. Its name is from the Irish-language Leitir Ceanainn, meaning "Hillside of the O'Cannons", from the name of the ancient chieftains of Tír Conaill. The town is located on the River Swilly in the east of the county. (Read more)
