The Maiden Paps near Hawick, Roxburghshire

Hawick

Hawick is a town in Roxburghshire, in the heart of Teviotdale, and reckoned to be the biggest town in the shire. It stands on the River Teviot at its meeting with the Slitrig Water, ten miles south-west of Jedburgh and nine miles south-southeast of Selkirk.

Hawick's architecture is distinctive for its many sandstone buildings with slate roofs. (Read more)
