Lakes of Killarney

The Lakes of Killarney are a series of beauteous lakes in County Kerry, forming a popular scenic attraction in Killarney National Park near Killarney. The three lakes, Lough Leane, Muckross Lake and Upper Lake lie in a low valley surrounded by the rugged slopes of Macgillycuddy's Reeks, Ireland's highest mountains.

The road from Killarney to Kenmare passes a viewpoint called Ladies View which offers a view of the lakes and valleys. (Read more)
