Ackergill Tower

Ackergill Tower (or 'Ackergill Castle') is a five-storey oblong tower house in the hamlet of Ackergill, north of Wick in Caithness. It is an early modern fortification built in unquiet times; it was built in the early 16th century, but the four-storey wing to the rear was added in the early 18th century.
