Firth of Clyde

The Firth of Clyde forms a large area of coastal water, sheltered from the Atlantic Ocean by the Kintyre peninsula, which encloses the outer firth between Argyllshire and Ayrshire. Between these shores lie the several pretty islands which constitute Buteshire. The whole seaborne trade of Glasgow sails through these beauteous waters. (Read more)
