Reading

Reading is the largest town of Berkshire. It stands on the south bank of the River Thames, where it is joined by the River Kennet.

Reading was an important national centre in the Middle Ages, the site of a monastery with strong royal connections. Today it remains a commercial centre, with links to information technology and insurance. Some 40 miles west of London, Reading is well connected, by the M4 motorway and the Great Western Main Line railway. (Read more)
