Bridge of Alvah

The Bridge of Alvah, built in 1772, is a magnificent semi-circular 'rubble arch' bridge over the River Deveron in Banffshire, a little south of Banff. The closest hamlet is Kirktown of Alvah, on the west side of the river.

The bridge carries no public road, but just an estate road appurtenant to Duff House. (Read more)
