Snow Nunataks
The Snow Nunataks are a line of four widely separated nunataks on the coast of Palmer Land, at the root of the peninsula by the western boundary of the British Antarctic Territory. These peaks stand on the mainland south of Case Island and trend east-west for 20 miles.
The nunataks were discovered by the United States Antarctic Service in 1939–41 and were named not for the prevailing landscape coverage around them but after Ashley C. Snow, an aviation pilot on the expedition.
