Clogh, also spelt as Clough is a village in County Antrim found nine miles from Ballymena. It had a population of 220 people (in 90 households) recorded at the 2011 Census.
The name of the village by either spelling, is commonplace as a place-name or a place-name element in Ireland and in the Highlands, and means "Stone"
Dunaghy Old Rectory, on the main street, is one of the village’s most striking buildings.
Churches
There are three churches in the vicinity:
- Church of Ireland: St James Dunaghy Parish Church, at the fork junction at the bottom of the main street.
- Independent: Gospel Hall, on main street
- Presbyterian Church in Ireland, just outside the village
Society
The village's community centre is housed in a building that was originally Clough Baptist Church at the top of the Main Street. The Church closed in the early 1990s, the building was not reopened as the community centre until 2005. It has since host numerous functions and is widely used by the whole community.
