Walkerburn is a small village in Peeblesshire, on the A72 road about eight miles from Peebles and ten miles from Galashiels. It lies within the parish of Innerleithen, just north of the River Tweed which forms the border with Traquair parish.

Founded in 1854 around the mill to house the workers, Walkerburn now has a population of around 660.

The Scottish Museum of Textiles is based in the village.
