Kirkton is a small village between Duncow and Dumfries in Dumfriesshire. It stands in Nithsdale, east of the River Nith on the course f the Duncow Burn.

The village was originally the kirk town for the wider Kirkmahoe parish, hence its name, and here stands the Church of Scotland’s Kirkmahoe Parish Church.
