Ordiquhill
Ordiquhill is a parish in Banffshire on the A95 road ,11 miles north-east of Keith. It contains the village of Cornhill and hamlet of Gordonstown. This place, which is situated within seven miles of the North Sea, derives its name, signifying in the Gaelic language "the hollow beside the height", from the nature of its surface and its position with respect to the mountainous elevation of Knock Hill in the south-west of the parish. It is rectangular in form, being nearly four miles in length from north to south and about three in breadth.
The parish is bounded to the north by Fordyce and Boyndie and to the south by Marnoch and Grange.
