Newlands is a Renfrewshire village which has become an upmarket district in the southside of the City of Glasgow.
The area is mainly residential in character. House prices in the area are consistently above the national average, with the average house price for 2006 being around £185,000.[1]
The Newlands fete is held annually and takes place within Newlands Park.
There is a large supermarket in Newlands, but also many traditional shops and a café.
