Bonamargy is a townland in County Antrim, immediately east of Ballycastle. There is no village here by the name, but the in townland has grown the eastern developments of Ballycastle. It is known though for the atmospheric ruins of Bonamargy Friary.
The name 'Bonamargy' means "Foot of the Margy River", which is the river formed by the joining of the Cary River and Shesk River.
