Carcass Island Settlement is the main and indeed only settlement on Carcass Island, amongst the Falkland Islands. It is found on the shore of Port Patterson on the southwest coast of the island; the settlement is also known throughout the islands for its gardens. There is a small grocery shop here and a lodge of accommodating visitors.
The settlement takes its name from the island, which is in turn named after HMS Carcass, which surveyed the island in 1766. Its accompanying vessel, HMS Jason, gave its name to the nearby Jason Islands, and its captain, John McBride, gave his name to MacBride Head.
The island has been run as a sheep farm for over a century and is presently owned by R P McGill.
The settlement has the island's three heritage-listed buildings: a boathouse, a shed, and a store.
