Jingle Island lies in the north-east of the Pitt Islands, a group within the Biscoe Islands group in the British Antarctic Territory. It lies one nautical mile north-east of Weller Island.
The island was photographed from the air by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition in 1956. In February 2022, a Royal Navy expedition from HMS Protector commanded by Captain Michael Woods surveyed the island and its neighbours and camped on Jingle Island.[1]
As with other names amongst the Pitt Islands, this island is named after character in the Pickwick Papers; after Alfred Jingle, a strolling actor and charlatan.
