(British Antarctic Territory)

Location
Location: 65°26’47"S, 65°23’24"W
Data

Weller Island is one of the Pitt Islands, a group within the Biscoe Islands group in the British Antarctic Territory. It lies to the east of Snodgrass Island.

The island forms the south-east side of Johannessen Harbour. It was photographed from the air by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition in 1956.

As with other names amongst the Pitt Islands, this island is named after character in the Pickwick Papers; after Samuel Weller, Mr Pickwick's servant.
