Black Horse Drove
Black Horse Drove is a hamlet at the very edge of Cambridgeshire, strung along a road off the Ten Mile Bank, the long road which runs alongside the river Great Ouse between Littleport in Cambridgeshire and Southery in Norfolk. The two counties meet close by at the knot of cottages called Brandon Creek, where the Great Ouse and Little Ouse meet.
The hamlet is named for its long straight road, an old drove road through the fens.
