Low Moorsley is a small village just outside Hetton-le-Hole in County Durham.
The village's brush with infamy was in the nineteenth century: this was the home of Mary Ann Cotton (1832–1873), who was hanged for the murder of Charles Edward Cotton, her stepson, but whi is believed to have murdered three of her four husbands and 11 of her 13 children.[1]
