Noviomagus Cantiacorum
Noviomagus, also known as Noviomagus Cantiacorum, was a Roman town in south-eastern Britain. It is believed to have been in north-western Kent, in which is today Crayford, where Watling Street crosses the River Cray at a ford.
The full name 'Noviomagus Cantiacorum', which is to say "New Market of the Cantiaci", distinguishes it from other places with the name 'Noviomagus'. Little is known of the place, but it is recorded on the Antonine Itinerary.[1]
