Westnewton is a small hamlet comprising around eight houses and a manse to the west of the village of Kirknewton. It is situated in the parish of Kirknewton, in Northumberland.

Westnewton is at the edge of the Cheviot Hills, in green meadows where the Bowmont Water, having flowed around the top of the Cheviots' main massif from Town Yetholm in Roxburghshire, meets the College Burn, coming from the famed College Valley. Kirknewton is just half a mile to the east, and the edge of Roxburghshire a few miles to the west, though with the fells between.
