Île Carre Pate is a small, long, thin island of the Egmont Islands, a coral atoll of the British Indian Ocean Territory. Its name means 'Square Island', which may indicates its shape at high tide. It is found west along the southern rim of the reef, separated from Île Tattamucca to the east and Île Lubine to the west by narrow, shallow channels.
