Tophet Bastion stands to the east of Saunders Point, in the south-east of Coronation Island amongst the South Orkney Islands in the British Antarctic Territory.
This cliff was roughly charted by Discovery Investigations in 1933; surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Signy in 1948-49, and so named after the biblical Tophet, a high place used for heathen sacrifice near Jerusalem. It was further surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey, 1956-58.
