Loughmacrory is a village and a townland (of 1,651 acres) in Tyrone. The village is eight miles east of Omagh in the Barony of Omagh East. It had a population of 237 recorded at the 2001 Census.
The village has houses, shops, a church and a primary school. There is also an old mill and ancient cairns nearby.
The name of the village is from the Gaelic Loch Mhic Ruairí, meaning 'MacRuairí's lake'.[1]
