Mount Horne is the highest (at 3,822 feet) of the Quilty Nunataks, to the north-west of Cape Zumberge on the Orville Coast of the British Antarctic Territory.
The mountain was seen from the air by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition on 21 November 1947, and roughly positioned in 76°47'S 70°00'W. It is named after Bernard Horne, Manager of Horne Department Store, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who furnished clothing for the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition. The mountain was surveyed on the United States Geological Survey Antarctic Peninsula Traverse, 1961-62, and following air photography by the United States Navy, 1965-67, mapped from air photographs by the United States Geological Survey.
