The Anderson Buttress is about 1,000 yards long on the north-eastern side of Gwendolyn Peak on Adelaide Island, to the west of Rose Bluff.
The feature is named for John Harvie McLeod Anderson (1957-1981) Antarctic field assistant at Rothera Research Station who died in a crevasse accident on Shambles Glacier on 16 May 1981, along with Robert Atkinson.
