Lough Meela is a freshwater lake in The Rosses area of north-western County Donegal: it may be found about three miles north-west of Dungloe and two miles south-east of Burtonport, on the R259 road.
The lough. measures about half a mile long north to south and 500 yards wide.
Natural history
Fish species in Lough Meela include sea trout, brown trout and flounder. The lake is part of The Rosses Fishery.[1]
