Charlestown is a wee village on the shore of Gair Loch in the wester of Ross-shire, a mile and a half south of Gairloch village and overlooking the harbour area.
Charlestown has its own small bay, sheltered by a small headland called An Ard, with a jetty in the bay. There is a pub and a hotel. The village on on the A832 which threads along the coast of Wester Ross before heading inland south of Charlestown.
