As to uploads, even I can't upload files without breaking into the back of it: all the images are on [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page Wikimedia Commons], so just upload an image there (it has to follow their criteria of course, with is rarely an issue) and it can be used here. I'd not bother about the 'featured article' thing either: they might be called that when they pop up on as the day's picture but there is no more to it than that, and they are not marked as such on the main page nor should they be. If you'd like to add some text content, that's what we are looking for. I realise that you are three thousand miles away and perhaps not as immediately familiar with the villages, mountains, bays, lochs, edifices etc that we feature, but that is what we are after. Sorry if I sounded a bit sharp earlier. Yes, all help is welcome. You have reminded me that there were certain niceties left off some of the background stuff when we set Wikishire up and we just splurged on content. It is helpful to have those templates and things added, so I do appreciate the work you have put in. I am still going on content of course - it does not yet have a natural limit.
That being so, I can use your own template:
Welcome to the wiki! Please read about us on the blue link. You may test us on the sandbox to learn more about how we work. ⭐️ RB (talk) 19:28, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
Admins and uploads
Sorry - no. We have to keep the wiki managed so there are just two Administrators and we're not going to extend that. Otherwise the content pretty open, within the fixed policies and the purpose of the wiki.
As to uploads, even I can't upload files without breaking into the back of it: all the images are on Wikimedia Commons, so just upload an image there (it has to follow their criteria of course, with is rarely an issue) and it can be used here. RB (talk) 07:46, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Unnecessary templates
The current time and date functions are inherent in MediaWiki and do not need templates - in fact templates should not be created which try to duplicate them.
I'd not bother about the 'featured article' thing either: they might be called that when they pop up on as the day's picture but there is no more to it than that, and they are not marked as such on the main page nor should they be. The articles are not chosen for being special, just for providing a geographical scatter across the British Isles and the overseas territories. (I worked them out in detail on an Excel spreadsheet. It required fine balance and thinking in three dimensions.)
We are pretty well set up with templates already and do not need more admin-type templates: it is not that sort of resource.
If you'd like to add some text content, that's what we are looking for. I realise that you are three thousand miles away and perhaps not as immediately familiar with the villages, mountains, bays, lochs, edifices etc that we feature, but that is what we are after. RB (talk) 21:18, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
