Black Torrington Hundred is one of the hundreds of Devon, located in the west of the county, adjacent to the border with Cornwall. It is bounded to the north by Hartland Hundred; to the north-east by Shebbear Hundred; to the east by North Tawton and Winkleigh Hundred; to the south-east by Wonford Hundred; to the south by Lifton Hundred; and to the west by Cornwall. It had a population of 17,816 in 2011.
