Uttoxeter

Uttoxeter is a small market town in Staffordshire, in the east of the county and away from any of the clumps of towns which have grown up on the main transport routes. Uttoxeter lies close to the River Dove, which here forms the border with Derbyshire and is approximately midway between Asbourne, Derbyshire, Burton-on-Trent, Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, with many miles of countryside between.

At the edge of the town is the famous Uttoxeter Racecourse. (Read more)
