Île du Sel is a very small island amongst the Salomon Islands of the British Indian Ocean Territory. It is one of four islets to just out of the water on the southern part of the atoll or ring-reef which forms the Salomon Islands, along with Île Sepulture, Île Jacobin and Île Poule.
Like most of the smaller Chagos Islands, it is named in French, having been first charted by the French before the archipelago passed to British rule during the Napoleonic Wars.
