Cook Bay lies between Cape Crewe and Black Head, north-west of Possession Bay on the north coat of South Georgia.

The bay is found chartered as 'Crew's Harbour', 'Crows Harbour' and 'Port Gladstone'. It was charted by Discovery Investigations in 1929 and named 'Cook Bay' after Captain James Cook.
