The River Loy is a tributrary of the River Lochy which in part forms the border between Argyllshire and Inverness-shire.
It rises in the Locheil Forest and flows in a south-easterly direction, through Glen Loy, and empties into the River Lochy, two miles south-west of Gairlochy.
On the lower reach, just before emptying into the Lochy, it passes under the B8004 road bridge and the Glen Loy Aqueduct which carries the Caledonian Canal above.
