Amersham, Montserrat

Amersham is an abandoned village on Montserrat. The village had a small population before the Soufrière Hills volcano erupted in 1995, and the village was evacuated.
The village is now within the Exclusion Zone that covers the whole southern part of the island. Google Satellite shows the village is now unrecognizable,[1] due to its being evacuated; it may possibly have decayed by the encroachment of nature, which is fecund on Montserrat.
Amersham Estate
The village used to have an estate, called Amersham Estate.
