Rinn Lough
(Redirected from Lough Rynn)
Rinn Lough, otherwise known as Lough Rynn is a lake on the course of the Rinn River in County Leitrim. Beside the lake, between it and neighbouring Errew Lake, stands Lough Rynn Castle.
The lough is fed at its northern end by the Rinn River, and from the east by the Cloone River, emerging from neighbouring Errew Lake. From the south end of Rinn Lough, the Rinn River emerges and makes its way to Lough Forbes on the course of the River Shannon.
There is a crannog in the waters of the loch; an ancient manmade lake island on which a fort once stood.
