English: View across Rockland Broad. This view was taken from the bird hide > 1335092 which is situated at the south-eastern corner of the broad. Reeds used to be harvested in this area until up into the 20th century when it became unprofitable. Most of it is now a Natural Nature Reserve and reed islands provide shelter for nesting birds. The adjoining marsh pastures are grazed by cattle. |
