Summary

Description
English: The Ashby Institute, Belfast. The Ashby Institute (usually "The Ashby") houses Queen's University's Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. On the corner of Chlorine Gardens and the Stranmillis Road, it was built in 1964 to a design by Cruickshank & Seaward. Completely out of harmony with it suburban red brick surroundings it is, nevertheless, an interesting example of the "modern" architecture of the period. Taken on its own it is (I admit) not too bad at all. Continue to 1117769.
