Summary

Description
English: Stratfield Saye House. Showing the western side of the house, the original parts of which date from about 1630. It was stuccoed in the 1700s. It was bought by the nation for the first Duke of Wellington in 1817, two years after his victory at Waterloo. The statue in front can be seen here 1420486 . For a closer view see 1423270.
