English: St. Alphonsus' Church, Barntown Designed by Augustus Welby Pugin, it was dedicated in 1851. This large Catholic church owes its existence to the ideas, fundraising and organisation of Very Rev. Patrick Murphy; before his work there was only a barn-like structure for worship in this part of the parish.
