English: Moorgreen Hospital (main building) This is part of the hospital site that is planned to be replaced by housing, although other parts of the site will remain in use by the NHS. The site has a long history. "A Workhouse was constructed in 1848 and enlarged in 1887 and 1898. The original building consisted of four parallel wings based around a central connecting corridor. The three storey entrance block fronting Botley Road is still in use by the NHS and was an original part of the Workhouse although it has been much altered. The Workhouse was known as the South Stoneham Union Workhouse." http://www.southamptonhealth.nhs.uk/aboutus/trustestate/moorgreen/?locale=en
