English: Malago Vale, Bristol, looking south-west This shows a more rural section of the Malago 'river' as it flows towards the city centre across what is now a green open space including sports facilities.
Closer to the centre, it is culverted underground for significant stretches. A variety of interesting, and sometimes rare, plants can be found in and around the watercourse. Several such streams flow across Bristol and into the Avon and its sister rivers, providing vital natural habitat for wildlife. |
